We’re committed to delivering a memorable dining experience with a culinary expertise that is perfect for your next family gathering or intimate dinner. All of our food is cooked to order, with our evening dishes showcasing the best of modern British cuisine, seamlessly served in a candle lit environment, with some tables overlooking the iconic Brighton promenade.
Wardroom Restaurant
Join us in The Wardroom restaurant for an à la carte dinner service right on Brighton's seafront, Serving up a selection of delicious dishes , all of our food is cooked to order by our expert culinary team using seasonal ingredients.
- 6pm to 9pm, Sunday to Thursday
- 6pm to 9.30pm, Friday and Saturday

Breakfast is also served from 7am to 10.30am, Monday to Friday and 8am to 11am, Saturday and Sunday.
Mess Deck
Join us for a casual dining experience or relaxing drinks in our Mess Deck lounge and bar. We serve a range of beer, wine and cocktails, ideal for any occasion.
- Food is served everyday from 12pm to 9.30pm.
Live Music
Live music can be enjoyed every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the bar from April until September. If weather permits, then the live music will move to our outdoor terrace creating a fantastic atmosphere in the sun overlooking Brighton beach.

Afternoon Tea
Afternoon Tea was introduced in England by Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford in the year of 1840. The Duchess would become hungry around four o’clock in the afternoon. The evening meal in her household was served fashionably late at eight o’clock, thus leaving a long period of time between lunch and dinner.
- Afternoon Tea is served at 1pm to 4pm everyday from £21.50 per person.
A Cream Tea is also available with scones, jam, clotted cream and tea or coffee at £9.50 per person.

Private Dining
We have a variety of options available for private dining to suit every taste and occasion right here at The Old Ship hotel Brighton. Enjoy a unique experience in our historic Cellars for up to 28 people, or opt for a sea facing event in Fécamp for up to 40 people, or even the grand Paganini Ballroom for up to 180 people.
